عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ قَالَ:

دَخَلْتُ مَعَ ابْنِ سَابِطٍ فَسَجَدَ بَعْضُنَا وَنَهَى بَعْضَنَا لِلسُّجُودِ، فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ قَامَ ابْنُ سَابِطٍ فَصَلَّى بِأَصْحَابِهِ، فَقَالَ: ذَكَرْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ فَقَالَ: " كَذَلِكَ يَنْبَغِي " قَالَ: قُلْتُ: إِنَّ هَذَا لَا يُفْعَلُ عِنْدَنَا قَالَ: " يَفْرِقُونَ ".

Translation

✧ I entered with Ibn Sabit, and some of us prostrated while he forbade some of us from prostrating. When he had said the salam, Ibn Sabit stood up and prayed with his companions. He said: I mentioned that to Ata, and he said, 'That is how it should be.' He said: I said, 'This is not done among us.' He said, 'They split up.'
