✧ Raising the hands in supplication

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ طَاوُسًا يَقُولُ:
دَعَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَلَى قَوْمٍ فَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ - فَأَشَارَ لِي عَمْرٌو فَنَصَبَ يَدَيْهِ - جِدًّا فِي السَّمَاءِ، فَجَالَتِ النَّاقَةُ فَأَمْسَكَهَا بِإِحْدَى يَدَيْهِ، وَالْأُخْرَى قَائِمَةٌ فِي السَّمَاءِ
Translation
✧ The Prophet ﷺ supplicated against a people and raised his hands - Amr gestured to me and held his hands upright - very high toward the sky. The she-camel moved, so he held it with one of his hands while the other remained raised toward the sky.
