عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ،
نص إضافيأَنَّ جُنْدُبًا، وَمَسْرُوقًا، أَدْرَكَا رَكْعَةً مِنَ الْمَغْرِبِ فَقَرَأَ جُنْدُبٌ وَلَمْ يَقْرَأْ مَسْرُوقٌ خَلْفَ الْإِمَامِ، فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ الْإِمَامُ قَامَا يَقْضِيَانِ، فَجَلَسَ مَسْرُوقٌ فِي الثَّانِيَةِ وَالثَّالِثَةِ، وَقَامَ جُنْدُبٌ فِي الثَّانِيَةِ وَلَمْ يَجْلِسْ، فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَا تَذَاكَرَا ذَلِكَ، فَأَتَيَا ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ، فَقَالَ: كُلٌّ قَدْ أَصَابَ - أَوْ كُلٌّ قَدْ أَحْسَنَ - وَنَفْعَلُ كَمَا فَعَلَ مَسْرُوقٌ
Translation

machine translationʿAbd al-Razzāq, from al-Thawrī, from Jābir, from al-Shaʿbī,
✧ Jundub and Masruq caught one rak'ah of Maghrib. Jundub recited, and Masruq did not recite behind the imam. When the imam gave the taslim, they both stood up to make up. Masruq sat in the second and third, while Jundub stood in the second and did not sit. When they finished, they discussed that and went to Ibn Mas'ud. He said: "Each has done right—or each has done well—and we do as Masruq did."
