عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ هُشَيْمٍ، عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ عَطَاءٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ نَافِعِ بْنِ لَبِيبَةَ قَالَ:
قُلْتُ لِابْنِ عُمَرَ - أَوْ قَالَ غَيْرِي - إِنِّي قَرَأْتُ الْمُفَصَّلَ فِي رَكْعَةٍ قَالَ: " أَفَعَلْتُمُوهَا ؟ إِنَّ اللهَ لَوْ شَاءَ أَنْزَلَهُ جُمْلَةً وَاحِدَةً، فَأَعْطُوا كُلَّ سُورَةٍ حَظَّهَا مِنَ الرُّكُوعِ وَالسُّجُودِ
Translation
✧ I said to Ibn Umar - or someone else said - 'I recited the Mufassal in a single rak'ah.' He said: 'Did you do that? If Allah had willed, He would have sent it down as one whole. Give each surah its due of bowing and prostration.'
