عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَوْنٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا رَجَاءُ بْنُ حَيْوَةَ قَالَ:
صَلَّيْتُ إِلَى جَنْبِ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ، فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقْرَأُ خَلْفَ الْإِمَامِ، فَلَمَّا قَضَيْنَا صَلَاتَنَا قُلْنَا: يَا أَبَا الْوَلِيدِ، أَتَقْرَأُ مَعَ الْإِمَامِ ؟ قَالَ: " وَيْحَكَ إِنَّهُ لَا صَلَاةَ إِلَّا بِهَا
Translation
✧ I prayed beside 'Ubadah b. al-Samit, and I heard him reciting behind the imam. When we finished our prayer, we said: "O Abu al-Walid, do you recite with the imam?" He said: "Woe to you, for there is no prayer except with it."
