✧ Recitation in the Fajr prayer

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ سَمُرَةَ يَقُولُ:
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي الصَّلَاةَ كَنَحْوٍ مِنْ صَلَاتِكُمُ الَّتِي تُصَلُّونَ الْيَوْمَ، وَلَكِنَّهُ كَانَ يُخَفِّفُ، كَانَتْ صَلَاتُهُ أَخَفَّ مِنْ صَلَاتِكُمْ، كَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الْفَجْرِ الْوَاقِعَةَ، وَنَحْوَهَا مِنَ السُّورَةِ
Translation
✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray prayers similar to the prayer you pray today, but he would keep it light. His prayer was lighter than yours. He would recite in Fajr al-Waqi'ah and similar surahs.
