✧ A Well into Which an Animal Falls

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ لَيْثٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ قَالَ:

إِذَا سَقَطَ الْكَلْبُ فِي الْبِئْرِ فَأُخْرِجَ مِنْهَا حِينَ سَقَطَ نُزِعَ مِنْهَا عِشْرُونَ دَلْوًا، فَإِنْ أُخْرِجَ حِينَ مَاتَ نُزِعَ مِنْهَا سِتُّونَ أَوْ سَبْعُونَ دَلْوًا، فَإِنْ تَفَسَّخَ فِيهَا نُزِحَ مَاؤُهَا، فَإِنْ لَمْ يَسْتَطِيعُوا نُزِحَ مِنْهَا مِائَةُ دَلْوٍ وَعِشْرُونَ وَمِائَةٌ.

Translation

✧ If a dog falls into a well and is taken out when it falls, twenty buckets are drawn from it. If it is taken out when it has died, sixty or seventy buckets are drawn from it. If it disintegrates in it, its water is drained. If they are unable, one hundred twenty or one hundred buckets are drawn from it.
