أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ:
صَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ فَاسْتَفْتَحَ بِسُورَةِ آلِ عِمْرَانَ، فَقَامَ إِلَيْهِ عُمَرُ، فَقَالَ: يَغْفِرُ اللهُ لَكَ، لَقَدْ كَادَتِ الشَّمْسُ تَطْلُعُ قَبْلَ أَنْ تُسَلِّمَ قَالَ: لَوْ طَلَعَتْ لَأَلْفَتْنَا غَيْرَ غَافِلِينَ
Translation
✧ I prayed behind Abu Bakr, and he began Surat Al 'Imran. Umar stood up to him and said: May Allah forgive you! The sun had almost risen before you said the salam. He said: If it had risen, it would have found us not heedless.
