قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: وَأَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَاشِدٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَجُلًا يُحَدِّثُ بِهِ مَكْحُولًا، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ السَّاعِدِيِّ أَنَّهُ
سَمِعَ أَبَا بَكْرٍ قَرَأَهَا فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الثَّالِثَةِ، فَقَالَ لَهُ مَكْحُولٌ: " إِنَّهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ مِنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ قِرَاءَةٌ إِنَّمَا كَانَ دُعَاءٌ مِنْهُ
Translation
✧ He heard Abu Bakr recite it in the third rak'ah, and Makhul said to him: It was not a recitation from Abu Bakr; it was only a supplication from him.
