عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ جُدْعَانَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ وَغَيْرِهِ قَالَ:
كَتَبَ عُمَرُ إِلَى أَبِي مُوسَى: " أَنِ اقْرَأْ فِي الْمَغْرِبِ بِقِصَارِ الْمُفَصَّلِ، وَفِي الْعِشَاءِ بِوَسَطِ الْمُفَصَّلِ، وَفِي الصُّبْحِ بِطِوَالِ الْمُفَصَّلِ
Translation
✧ 'Umar wrote to Abu Musa: "Recite in Maghrib the short ones of the mufassal, in 'Isha' the medium ones of the mufassal, and in Subh the long ones of the mufassal."
