عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ قَالَ:
كَانَ - يَعْنِي عَلِيًّا - يَقْرَأُ فِي الْأُولَيَيْنِ مِنَ الظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ بِأُمِّ الْقُرْآنِ وَسُورَةٍ، وَلَا يَقْرَأُ فِي الْأُخْرَيَيْنِ
Translation
✧ He (meaning ʿAlī) used to recite in the first two rakʿahs of the noon and afternoon prayers the Opening of the Book and a surah, and he would not recite in the last two rakʿahs.
