عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ:
قُلْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ: لَا أَدَعُ أَبَدًا بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ فِي مَكْتُوبَةٍ وَلَا تَطَوُّعٍ إِلَّا نَاسِيًا، لِأُمِّ الْقُرْآنِ وَلِلسُّورَةِ الَّتِي أَقْرَأُهَا بَعْدَهَا قَالَ: " هِيَ آيَةٌ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ "، قُلْتُ: نص إضافيفَإِنَّهُ بَلَغَنِي أَنَّهَا لَمْ تَنْزِلْ مَعَ الْقُرْآنِ، وَأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ لَمْ يَكْتُبْهَا حَتَّى نَزَلَ: ﴿إِنَّهُ مِنْ سُلَيْمَانَ وَإِنَّهُ بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ ﴾، فَكَتَبَهَا حِينَئِذٍ قَالَ: " مَا بَلَغَنِي ذَلِكَ، مَا هِيَ إِلَّا آيَةُ الْقُرْآنِ
Translation

machine translationʿAbd al-Razzāq, from Ibn Jurayj, who said:
✧ I said to 'Ata': I will never omit 'Bismillah al-Rahman al-Rahim' in an obligatory or voluntary prayer, except due to forgetfulness, for the Mother of the Qur'an and for the surah I recite after it. He said: "It is a verse of the Qur'an." I said: It has reached me that it did not come down with the Qur'an, and that the Prophet ﷺ did not write it until there descended: "Indeed, it is from Solomon, and indeed it is Bismillah al-Rahman al-Rahim," so he wrote it then. He said: "That has not reached me. It is nothing but a verse of the Qur'an."
