machine translationʿAbd al-Razzāq, from Ibn Jurayj, who said:
✧ I said to 'Ata': “I forgot the seeking of refuge.” He said: “I do not repeat, nor do I prostrate the two prostrations of forgetfulness; I will seek refuge later.” I said: “We have been commanded to seek refuge just as we have been commanded to perform ablution?” He said: “It is not like ablution. It is speech; I will say it when I remember in my prayer.” I said: “I did not remember until I finished.” He said: “That is fine; when I finish, I seek refuge.”
