Musannaf 'Abd al-Razzaq 2502

✧ A man standing alone in the row

وَذَكَرَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ:

يُقَالُ: " إِذَا دُحِسَ الصَّفُّ فَلَمْ يَكُنْ فِيهِ مَدْخَلٌ، فَلْيَسْتَخْرِجْ رَجُلًا مِنْ ذَلِكَ الصَّفِّ فَلْيَقُمْ مَعَهُ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يَفْعَلْ فَصَلَاتُهُ تِلْكَ صَلَاةُ وَاحِدٍ لَيْسَ بِصَلَاةِ جَمَاعَةٍ ".

Translation

✧ It is said: "If the row is crowded and there is no entry in it, then let him bring out a man from that row and stand with him. If he does not do so, then that prayer of his is the prayer of one person, not a congregational prayer."
