عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ الْيَامِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْسَجَةَ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ قَالَ:
كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَمْسَحُ صُدُورَنَا فِي الصَّلَاةِ مِنْ هَاهُنَا إِلَى هَاهُنَا، فَيَقُولُ: سَوُّوا صُفُوفَكُمْ، لَا تَخْتَلِفُوا فَتَخْتَلِفَ قُلُوبُكُمْ، إِنَّ اللهَ وَمَلَائِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى الصَّفِّ الْأَوَّلِ - أَوْ قَالَ: الصُّفُوفِ - وَمَنْ مَنَحَ مَنِيحَةَ وَرِقٍ أَوْ لَبَنٍ، أَوْ أَهْدَى زُقَاقًا فَهُوَ عِدْلُ رَقَبَةٍ
Translation
✧ The Prophet ﷺ used to wipe our chests in prayer from here to here, saying: "Straighten your rows; do not differ, lest your hearts differ. Indeed, God and His angels send blessings upon the first row—or he said: the rows—and whoever gives a gift of silver or milk, or gives away a small skin of water, is equal to freeing a slave."
