✧ Ablution from Water Basins

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ مُزَاحِمِ بْنِ زُفَرَ قَالَ:
قُلْتُ لِلشَّعْبِيِّ: أَكُوزُ عَجُوزٍ مُخَمَّرٌ أَحَبُّ إِلَيْكَ أَنْ يُتَوَضَّأَ مِنْهُ، أَوْ مِنْ هَذِهِ الْمَطَاهِرِ الَّتِي يُدْخِلُ فِيهَا الْجَزَّارُ يَدَهُ ؟ قَالَ: لَا، بَلْ مِنْ هَذِهِ الْمَطَاهِرِ الَّتِي يُدْخِلُ فِيهَا الْجَزَّارُ يَدَهُ.
Translation
✧ I said to al-Shabi: Is an old covered water skin more beloved to you that wudu be performed from it, or from these basins into which the butcher puts his hand? He said: No, rather from these basins into which the butcher puts his hand.
