Translation

✧ When al-Hajjaj encamped against Ibn al-Zubayr, he prayed the morning prayer at Mina, then he delayed it until the sky was very bright. Ibn Umar sent to him: 'What makes you delay the prayer until this time?' He said: 'We are at war and fearful.' Ibn Umar replied to him: 'There is no fear upon you in praying the prayer at its proper time, so do not delay it until this hour.' And Ibn Umar prayed with him.
