✧ Sleeping Before It and Staying Awake After It

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ قَالَ:
لَأَنْ أَرْقُدَ عَنِ الْعِشَاءِ الَّتِي - سَمَّاهَا الْأَعْرَابُ الْعَتَمَةَ - أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ أَنْ أَلْغُوَ بَعْدَهَا
Translation
✧ If I sleep past the late evening prayer—which the Bedouins call al-‘atamah—that is dearer to me than engaging in idle talk after it.
