عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مَيْسَرَةَ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ
أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُؤَخِّرُ الْعَصْرَ حَتَّى تَصْفَرَّ الشَّمْسُ جِدًّا، قُلْتُ لِإِبْرَاهِيمَ: أَمْرٌ رَأَيْتَهُ ؟ قَالَ: بَلْ كَانَ يَعُدُّ لِذَلِكَ، كَانَ يُقِيمُ الْيَوْمَيْنِ وَالثَّلَاثَةَ بِمَكَّةَ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ. كَذَلِكَ قَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ: كَانَ ابْنُ طَاوُسٍ يُعَجِّلُهَا مَرَّةً وَيُؤَخِّرُهَا مَرَّةً
Translation
✧ He used to delay Asr until the sun became very yellow. I said to Ibrahim, 'Is this something you saw?' He said, 'Rather, he used to count for that. He would stay in Makkah for two or three days in order to pray. That is how it was.' Ibn Jurayj said: 'Ibn Tawus used to sometimes hasten it and sometimes delay it.'
