أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، قَالَ:
كَتَبَ عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ إِلَى عَدِيِّ بْنِ أَرْطَاةَ: أَمَّا بَعْدُ، إِنَّ اسْتِعْمَالَكَ سَعْدَ بْنَ مَسْعُودٍ عَلَى عُمَانَ كَانَ مِنَ الْخَطَايَا الَّتِي قَدَّرَ اللهُ عَلَيْكَ، وَقَدَّرَ أَنْ تُبْتَلَى بِهَا
