أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ،
أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ أَمَرَ مُنَادِيَهُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ فِي يَوْمٍ مَطِيرٍ فَقَالَ: إِذَا بَلَغْتَ حَيَّ عَلَى الْفَلَاحِ فَقُلْ: أَلَا صَلُّوا فِي الرِّحَالِ، فَقِيلَ لَهُ: مَا هَذَا ؟ فَقَالَ: فَعَلَهُ مَنْ هُوَ خَيْرٌ مِنِّي
Translation
✧ Ibn Abbas ordered his caller on a rainy Friday: when you reach 'Hayya ala al-falah,' say: 'Indeed, pray in your dwellings.' It was said to him: 'What is this?' He said: 'One better than me did it.'
