أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا الثَّوْرِيُّ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ، قَالَ:
سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ وَأَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ، فَقَالَ: آخُذُ الْأَرْضَ فَأَتَقَبَّلُهَا أَرْضَ جِزْيَةٍ فَأُعَمِّرُهَا وَأُؤَدِّي خَرَاجَهَا فَنَهَاهُ، ثُمَّ جَاءَهُ آخَرُ فَنَهَاهُ، ثُمَّ جَاءَهُ آخَرُ فَنَهَاهُ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: " لَا تَعْمَدْ إِلَى مَا وَلَّى اللهُ هَذَا الْكَافِرَ فَتُحِلَّهُ مِنْ عُنُقِهِ وَتَجْعَلُهُ فِي عُنُقِكَ "، ثُمَّ تَلَا: ﴿قَاتِلُوا الَّذِينَ لا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللهِ ﴾حَتَّى ﴿صَاغِرُونَ ﴾
