عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي سَعْدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَغَيْرُهُ،
أَنَّ ابْنَ أُمِّ مَكْتُومٍ، وَبِلَالًا: كَانَا يُؤَذِّنَانِ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ، وَالنَّبِيُّ ﷺ قَالَ: إِنَّ ابْنَ أُمِّ مَكْتُومٍ أَعْمَى، فَإِذَا أَذَّنَ ابْنُ أُمِّ مَكْتُومٍ فَكُلُوا، وَإِذَا أَذَّنَ بِلَالٌ فَأَمْسِكُوا، لَا تَأْكُلُوا
Translation
✧ Ibn Umm Maktūm and Bilāl used to give the adhān for the Prophet ﷺ, and the Prophet ﷺ said: “Ibn Umm Maktūm is blind, so when Ibn Umm Maktūm gives the adhān, eat, and when Bilāl gives the adhān, stop and do not eat.”
