عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ قَالَ:
أَذَّنَ بِلَالٌ مَرَّةً بِلَيْلٍ، فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: اخْرُجْ، فَنَادِ أَنَّ الْعَبْدَ قَدْ نَامَ فَخَرَجَ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: لَيْتَ بِلَالًا ثَكِلَتْهُ أُمُّهُ، وَابْتَلَّ مِنْ نَضْحِ دَمِ جَبِينِهِ، ثُمَّ نَادَى أَنَّ الْعَبْدَ نَامَ
Translation
✧ Bilal once gave the call to prayer at night, and the Prophet ﷺ said to him: Go out and announce that the servant has slept. So he went out saying: Would that Bilal's mother had lost him, and may he be soaked from the sweat of his forehead's blood. Then he announced that the servant had slept.
