عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ بُرْقَانَ، عَنْ شَدَّادٍ مَوْلَى عَبَّاسٍ، عَنْ ثَوْبَانَ قَالَ:
أَذَّنْتُ مَرَّةً، فَدَخَلْتُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ: قَدْ أَذَّنْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ: لَا تُؤَذِّنْ حَتَّى تُصْبِحَ، ثُمَّ جِئْتُهُ أَيْضًا، فَقُلْتُ: قَدْ أَذَّنْتُ، فَقَالَ: لَا تُؤَذِّنْ حَتَّى تَرَاهُ هَكَذَا، وَجَمَعَ يَدَيْهِ ثُمَّ فَرَّقَهُمَا
Translation
✧ I once gave the call to prayer, then I went to the Prophet ﷺ and said: I have given the call, O Messenger of Allah. He said: Do not give the call until dawn breaks. Then I came to him again and said: I have given the call. He said: Do not give the call until you see it like this, and he joined his hands and then separated them.
