✧ Hides of Dead Animals When Tanned

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَطَاءً يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يَقُولُ:

كَانَتْ شَاةٌ دَاجِنَةٌ لِإِحْدَى نِسَاءِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ، فَمَاتَتْ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: أَفَلَا اسْتَمْتَعْتُمْ بِإِهَابِهَا

Translation

✧ There was a domestic sheep belonging to one of the wives of the Prophet ﷺ, and it died. The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Why did you not make use of its hide?'
