عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ،
أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ رُفِعَ إِلَيْهِ رَجُلٌ قَتَلَ رَجُلًا، فَجَاءَ أَوْلِيَاءُ الْمَقْتُولِ، وَقَدْ عَفَا أَحَدُهُمْ، فَقَالَ عُمَرُ لِابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ وَهُوَ إِلَى جَنْبِهِ: مَا تَقُولُ ؟ فَقَالَ ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ: أَقُولُ: " إِنَّهُ قَدْ أُحْرِزَ مِنَ الْقَتْلِ "، قَالَ: فَضَرَبَ عَلَى كَتِفِهِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: كُنَيْفٌ مُلِئَ عِلْمًا
