✧ The beginning of the call to prayer

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ،

أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ إِذَا قَالَ فِي الْأَذَانِ: حَيَّ عَلَى الْفَلَاحِ قَالَ: حَيَّ عَلَى الْعَمَلِ، ثُمَّ يَقُولُ: اللهُ أَكْبَرُ اللهُ أَكْبَرُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ

Translation

✧ When Ibn Umar said in the adhan, “Hayya ‘ala al-falah,” he said, “Hayya ‘ala al-‘amal,” then he said, “Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, la ilaha illa Allah.”
