Whoever kills intentionally is to be handed over to the family of the slain. If they wish, they may kill him, and if they wish, they may take the blood-money (ʿaql): one hundred camels — thirty ḥiqqah, thirty jadhaʿah, and forty khalifah (pregnant she-camels). That is the blood-money for intentional killing when the killer is not put to death.
