✧ Spitting in the mosque

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي رَوَّادٍ، عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ طَلْحَةَ الْحَجَبِيِّ قَالَ:
صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ، فَرَأَى فِي الْقِبْلَةِ نُخَامَةً فَلَمَّا قَضَى صَلَاتَهُ قَالَ: إِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ إِذَا صَلَّى فَإِنَّهُ يُنَاجِيهِ رَبُّهُ، فَقَالَ: مَنْ إِمَامُكُمْ ؟ فَقَالُوا أَبُو فُلَانٍ، فَنَزَعَهُ، ثُمَّ أُخْبِرَتِ امْرَأَتُهُ فَأَمَرَتْ بِمَاءٍ فَغَسَلَتْهُ، وَهَيَّأَتْهُ، وَحَسِبْتُ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: وَجَمَّرَتِ الْمَسْجِدَ، فَلَمَّا دَخَلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ الْمَسْجِدَ، فَقَالَ: مَنْ صَنَعَ هَذَا ؟ فَقَالُوا: امْرَأَةُ فُلَانٍ، فَرَدَّ زَوْجَهَا إِمَامًا
Translation
✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed in the mosque and saw mucus in the qiblah. When he finished his prayer, he said: When one of you prays, his Lord converses with him. Then he said: Who is your imam? They said: Abu so-and-so. So he removed him. Then his wife was informed, and she ordered water and washed it, prepared it, and – I think he said – perfumed the mosque with incense. When the Prophet ﷺ entered the mosque, he said: Who did this? They said: The wife of so-and-so. So he restored her husband as imam.
