Machine translation, not reviewed
A man vowed that he would walk from Basra to Bayt al-Maqdis. He said: "You were only commanded regarding this House, so let him walk to this House." He said: "And likewise regarding neighbouring." I said: "And what of the bequest? If a person made a bequest concerning a matter, and I see something better than it?" He said: "Then do that which is better, so long as the person did not specify anything. But if he said: for the poor, or in the way of God, and you see something better than that, then do that which is better." Then he retracted from that and said: "Let him do what he said, and let him carry out his instruction." He said: "And his first statement is more pleasing to me."
