عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ:
قُلْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ: أُصَلِّي وَفِي حُجْزَتِي ذَهَبٌ أَوْ وَرِقٌ ؟ قَالَ: لَا، اجْعَلْهُمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ، وَإِنْ كَانَتْ فِي صِوَانٍ، قُلْتُ: إِنَّهَا مَنْثُورَةٌ فِي حُجْزَتِي قَالَ: اصْبُبْهَا عَلَى نَعْلَيْكَ، قُلْتُ: فَمَا شَأْنُ الذَّهَبِ وَالْوَرِقِ مِنْ بَيْنِ ذَلِكَ ؟ قَالَ: لِأَنَّ لَهُمَا هَيْئَةً لَيْسَتْ لِذَلِكَ
Translation
✧ I said to ʿAṭāʾ: May I pray while there is gold or silver in my waist-wrapper? He said: No; put them on the ground, even if they are in a purse. I said: They are loose in my waist-wrapper. He said: Pour them out onto your sandals. I said: What is the matter with gold and silver among all that? He said: Because they have a form that those others do not.
