أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ قَالَ:
خَاصَمَ إِلَى شُرَيْحٍ رَجُلٌ فِي ثَوْبٍ بَاعَهُ، فَوَجَدَ بِهِ صَاحِبُهُ خَرْقًا، قَالَ: وَقَدْ كَانَ لَبِسَهُ، فَقَالَ الَّذِي اشْتَرَى: قَضَى عُثْمَانُ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ: مَنْ وَجَدَ فِي ثَوْبٍ عَوَارًا، فَلْيَرُدَّهُ. فَأَجَازَهُ عَلَيْهِ شُرَيْحٌ. فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ حِينَ خَرَجَ مِنْ عِنْدِهِ: إِنَّ قَاضِيَكُمْ هَذَا يَزْعُمُ أَنَّ قَضَاءَ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فَسْلٌ رَذْلٌ، وَقَضَاءَهُ عَدْلٌ. فَلَقِيَهُ شُرَيْحٌ، فَقَالَ: إِذَا لَقِيتَنِي لَقِيتَ بِي إِمَامًا جَائِرًا، وَإِذَا لَقِيتُكَ لَقِيتُ بِكَ رَجُلًا فَاجِرًا؛ أَظْهَرْتَ الشَّكَاةَ، وَكَتَمْتَ الْقَضَاءَ
