أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ قَالَ:
قَالَ أَصْحَابُ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ: وَدِدْنَا لَوْ أَنَّ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ وَعَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ تَبَايَعَا حَتَّى نَنْظُرَ أَيُّهُمَا أَعْظَمُ جَدًّا فِي التِّجَارَةِ. قَالَ: فَاشْتَرَى عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ مِنْ عُثْمَانَ فَرَسًا مِنْ أَرْضٍ أُخْرَى بِأَرْبَعِينَ أَلْفَ دِرْهَمٍ، أَوْ أَرْبَعَةِ آلَافٍ، أَوْ نَحْوِ ذَلِكَ - إِنْ أَدْرَكَتْهَا الصَّفْقَةُ وَهِيَ سَالِمَةٌ. ثُمَّ أَجَازَ قَلِيلًا، فَرَجَعَ، فَقَالَ: " أَزِيدُكَ سِتَّةَ آلَافٍ إِنْ وَجَدَهَا رَسُولِي سَالِمَةً ! " قَالَ: نَعَمْ. فَوَجَدَهَا رَسُولُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَدْ هَلَكَتْ، وَخَرَجَ مِنْهَا بِالشَّرْطِ الْآخَرِ. قَالَ رَجُلٌ لِلزُّهْرِيِّ: فَإِنْ لَمْ يَشْرُطْ ؟ قَالَ: " هِيَ مِنْ مَالِ الْبَائِعِ
