أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ:
صَاحَتْ جَارِيَةٌ فِي بَيْتٍ بِدِمَشْقَ فَتَغَوَّثَتْ، فَإِذَا هِيَ قَدْ أَفْرَغَتِ الدَّمَ فِي الْبَيْتِ، وَقَدْ فَرَّ صَاحِبُ الْبَيْتِ، فَكَتَبَ فِيهَا الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، إِلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ فِي خِلَافَتِهِ، فَكَتَبَ: " أَنْ قَدِ اتُّهِمَ بِنَفْسِهِ، فَعَاقِبْهُ عُقُوبَةً مُؤْلِمَةً، وَلَا تَبْلُغْ حَدًّا وَأَنِ انْفِهِ
