✧ The ring

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ:

قُلْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ: خَاتَمٌ فِي يَدِ حَائِضٍ أَوْ جُنُبٍ، قَالَ: لَا يَضُرُّهُ إِنَّمَا فِي الْخَاتَمِ الْحَرْفُ، أَوِ الشَّيْءُ الْيَسِيرُ قُلْتُ: فَغَيْرُ الْمُتَوَضِّئِ وَيَأْتِي الْخَلَاءَ وَهُوَ فِي يَدِهِ ؟ قَالَ: لَا يَضُرُّهُ

Translation

✧ I said to ʿAṭāʾ: "A ring on the hand of a menstruating woman or a junub person?" He said: "It does not harm him; in the ring there is only a letter or a small amount." I said: "What about someone not in wudu who goes to the toilet with it on his hand?" He said: "It does not harm him."
