عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ قَالَ:

لَا يَمَسُّ الْمُصْحَفَ مُفْضِيًا إِلَيْهِ غَيْرُ مُتَوَضِّئٍ. قُلْتُ: فَبَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمَا وَبَيْنَ أَخْبِيَتِهِ ثَوْبٌ ؟ قَالَ: وَلَا الْخِبَاءُ أَكَفُّ مِنَ الثَّوْبِ ؟. قُلْتُ: غَيْرُ الْمُتَوَضِّئِ وَهُوَ فِي خِبَائِهِ ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، لَا يَضُرُّهُ. قُلْتُ: فَيَأْخُذُهُ مُطْبَقًا ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ

Translation

✧ One should not touch the mushaf, with bare hand, without being in a state of wudu. I said: What if there is a cloth between their hands and their tent? He said: Is not a tent more protective than a cloth? I said: [What about] one without wudu while he is in his tent? He said: Yes, it does not harm him. I said: Should he take it closed? He said: Yes.
