✧ How Much of the Ablution Is a Single Pour

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِي حَيَّةَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ:
شَهِدْتُ عَلِيًّا فِي الرَّحَبَةِ بَالَ ثُمَّ تَوَضَّأَ فَغَسَلَ كَفَّيْهِ ثَلَاثًا، وَمَضْمَضَ، وَاسْتَنْثَرَ ثَلَاثًا، وَغَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ ثَلَاثًا، وَذِرَاعَيْهِ ثَلَاثًا ثَلَاثًا، وَمَسَحَ بِرَأْسِهِ، وَغَسَلَ قَدَمَيْهِ ثَلَاثًا، ثُمَّ اسْتَتَمَّ قَائِمًا، ثُمَّ أَخَذَ فَشَرِبَ فَضْلَ وَضُوئِهِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَعَلَ كَالَّذِي رَأَيْتُمُونِي فَعَلْتُ فَأَحْبَبْتُ أَنْ أُرِيَكُمْ
Translation
✧ I witnessed 'Ali in al-Rahabah: he urinated, then performed ablution and washed his palms three times, rinsed his mouth and sniffed water and blew it out three times, washed his face three times, and his forearms three times each, wiped his head, and washed his feet three times. Then he stood up straight, took the leftover water of his ablution and drank it, and said: 'I saw the Messenger of God ﷺ do just as you have seen me do, and I loved to show you.'
