Musannaf 'Abd al-Razzaq 1085

✧ A man sleeping while junub, or eating or drinking

1085 وَزَادَ آخَرُ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ فِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ غَسَلَ فَرْجَهُ، ثُمَّ تَوَضَّأَ. أَخْبَرَنَا ذَلِكَ الْخُرَاسَانِيُّ عَنْ يُونُسَ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ. متن مخفيأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنَامَ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَنَامَ وَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَطْعَمَ غَسَلَ فَرْجَهُ ثُمَّ تَوَضَّأَ ثُمَّ طَعِمَ

Translation

✧ Another added from Ibn Shihab, from Abu Salamah, in this hadith: He would wash his private part, then perform wudu. Al-Khurasani informed us of that from Yunus, from Ibn Shihab, from Abu Salamah, from Aishah. The Prophet ﷺ, when he wanted to sleep while junub, would perform wudu as for prayer before sleeping, and when he wanted to eat, he would wash his private part, then perform wudu, then eat.
