✧ Consulting women about their marriages

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ:
قُلْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ: أَتُسْتَأْمَرُ النِّسَاءُ فِي أَبْضَاعِهِنَّ؛ الثَّيِّبُ وَالْبِكْرُ ؟ قَالَ: " نَعَمْ "، قُلْتُ: وَالْأَبُ يَسْتَأْمِرُ ؟ قَالَ: " نَعَمْ ".
Translation
✧ I said to Ata: Are women consulted concerning their marriages, both previously married and virgin? He said: "Yes." I said: "Does the father consult?" He said: "Yes."
