✧ Blood money for a Magian

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، سَمِعَ عِكْرِمَةَ يَقُولُ:
إِنَّ عُمَرَ قَضَى فِي دِيَةِ الْمَجُوسِيِّ ثَمَانِمِائَةِ دِرْهَمٍ، وَقَالَ: " لَيْسَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ، إِنَّمَا هُوَ عَبْدٌ
Translation
✧ Umar ruled that the blood money of a Magian is eight hundred dirhams, and he said: "He is not of the People of the Book; he is only a slave."
