أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ كَلْبٍ، يُقَالُ لَهُ: مَعْرُوفُ بْنُ أَبِي مَعْرُوفٍ، عَنِ الْفُرَافِصَةِ الْحَنَفِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ،
أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ كَنَّى الْفُرَافِصَةَ الْحَنَفِيَّ وَهُوَ نَصْرَانِيٌّ، فَقَالَ لَهُ: " أَبَا حَسَّانَ
Translation
✧ Umar b. al-Khattab gave the kunya to al-Furafisa al-Hanafi while he was a Christian, saying to him: 'Abu Hassan.'
