✧ Regarding their sacrifices

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ قَالَ:
كَانَ قَوْمٌ مِنَ النَّصَارَى يَذْبَحُونَ بِالشَّامِ، ثُمَّ يَبِيعُونَهُ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ، فَوَكَّلَ بِهِمْ عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ مَنْ يَحْضُرُهُمْ إِذَا ذَبَحُوا أَنْ يُسَمُّوا اللهَ، وَيَمْنَعَهُمْ أَنْ يُشْرِكُوا عَلَى ذَبَائِحِهِمْ
Translation
✧ There were some Christians who used to slaughter in Syria and then sell the meat to the Muslims. So ʿUmar b. ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz appointed some Muslims to attend their slaughtering, to ensure that they invoked the name of Allah, and to prevent them from associating anything with Allah over their sacrifices.
