✧ Regarding their sacrifices

قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ: وَأَخْبَرَنِي مَنْ سَمِعَ الْحَكَمَ بْنَ عُتَيْبَةَ يَقُولُ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ وَمُجَاهِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ:
أَنَّهُ قِيلَ لَهُمَا: إِنَّ أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ يَذْكُرُونَ عَلَى ذَبَائِحِهِمْ غَيْرَ اللهِ، فَقَالَا: إِنَّ اللهَ حِينَ أَحَلَّ ذَبَائِحَهُمْ عَلِمَ مَا يَقُولُونَ عَلَى ذَبَائِحِهِمْ
Translation
✧ It was said to both of them: "The People of the Book mention other than Allah over their sacrifices." They replied: "Allah, when He permitted their sacrifices, knew what they say over their sacrifices."
