أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ السَّكَنِ، أَنَّ ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ:
إِنَّكُمْ نَزَلْتُمْ أَرْضًا لَا يَقْصِبُ بِهَا الْمُسْلِمُونَ، إِنَّمَا هُمُ النَّبَطُ وَفَارِسُ. فَإِذَا اشْتَرَيْتُمْ لَحْمًا فَسَلُوا، فَإِنْ كَانَ ذَبِيحَةَ يَهُودِيٍّ أَوْ نَصْرَانِيٍّ فَكُلُوهُ؛ فَإِنَّ طَعَامَهُمْ لَكُمْ حِلٌّ
Translation
✧ You have settled in a land where Muslims do not slaughter; only the Nabateans and Persians do. So when you buy meat, ask. If it is the slaughter of a Jew or a Christian, eat it, for their food is lawful for you.
