أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا الثَّوْرِيُّ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يَسَافٍ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ جُهَيْنَةَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ:
لَعَلَّكُمْ أَنْ تُقَاتِلُوا قَوْمًا فَتَظْهَرُونَ عَلَيْهِمْ فَيَتَّقُونَكُمْ بِأَمْوَالِهِمْ دُونَ أَنْفُسِهِمْ وَأَبْنَائِهِمْ، فَيُصَالِحُوكُمْ، فَلَا تُصِيبُوا مِنْهُمْ غَيْرَ ذَلِكَ
Translation
✧ Perhaps you will fight a people and prevail over them, and they will shield themselves from you with their wealth rather than their own lives and their children, and make peace with you. So do not take from them anything besides that.
