✧ A woman of the People of the Book is not married except in a covenant

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ أَبِي عِيَاضٍ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ
فِي نِكَاحِ الْمُشْرِكَاتِ فِي غَيْرِ عَهْدٍ " أَنَّهُ كَرِهَ نِسَاءَهُمْ، وَرَخَّصَ فِي ذَبَائِحِهِمْ فِي أَرْضِ الْحَرْبِ
Translation
✧ Regarding marrying polytheist women outside a covenant: he disliked their women, but permitted their slaughtered animals in the land of war.
