أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ:
أَنَّ حُذَيْفَةَ نَكَحَ يَهُودِيَّةً فِي زَمَنِ عُمَرَ، فَقَالَ عُمَرُ: طَلِّقْهَا فَإِنَّهَا جَمْرَةٌ ! قَالَ: أَحَرَامٌ هِيَ ؟ قَالَ: " لَا ". فَلَمْ يُطَلِّقْهَا حُذَيْفَةُ لِقَوْلِهِ حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ طَلَّقَهَا
Translation
Chain of narrators
machine translationʿAbd al-Razzāq informed us, he said: Maʿmar informed us, from Qatādah:
✧ Hudhayfah married a Jewish woman during the time of Umar. Umar said: "Divorce her, for she is a live coal!" He said: "Is she forbidden?" He said: "No." So Hudhayfah did not divorce her because of his statement, until after that he divorced her.
