أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا الثَّوْرِيُّ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى، عَنْ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ غَفَلَةَ قَالَ:
بَلَغَ عُمَرَ أَنَّ عُمَّالَهُ يَأْخُذُونَ الْخَمْرَ فِي الْجِزْيَةِ فَنَشَدَهُمْ ثَلَاثًا، فَقَالَ بِلَالٌ: إِنَّهُمْ يَفْعَلُونَ ذَلِكَ، قَالَ: " فَلَا تَفْعَلُوا، وَلَكِنْ وَلُّوهُمْ بَيْعَهَا، فَإِنَّ الْيَهُودَ حُرِّمَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الشُّحُومُ فَبَاعُوهَا، وَأَكَلُوا أَثْمَانَهَا
Translation
✧ It reached Umar that his governors were taking wine as part of the jizya. He adjured them three times, and Bilal said: "They do that." He said: "Do not do that, but let them sell it themselves, for the Jews were forbidden fat, so they sold it and ate its price."
