✧ A Muslim following the funeral of a disbeliever

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَاشِدٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مَكْحُولًا يَقُولُ:
تَبِعَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ جِنَازَةَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ يَمْشِي بِعُرَاضِهَا، وَلَمْ يُصَلِّ عَلَيْهِ، وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: وَصَلَتْكَ رَحِمٌ، وَجُزِيتَ خَيْرًا قَالَ: نص إضافيوَلَمْ يَقِفْ عَلَى قَبْرِهِ
Translation
✧ The Prophet ﷺ followed the funeral of Abu Talib, walking alongside it, and did not pray over him, saying: “May kinship reach you, and may you be rewarded with good.” He said: An additional text: “And he did not stand at his grave.”
